  7. I agree I looked on here at 7am it's good to know early. I would rather have my children home safe than take them out the roads are bad but the streets are worse it's a struggle trying to get my car out (I do not live on the estate) and it's to dangerous to walk I think for children and parents. In my opinion I'd rather have my children home rather than risking the roads.

  9. Given everybody's off - how about a co-ordinated effort to clear some of the roads?

  10. How about not clearing the roads and letting the children have fun in the snow - how often do we actually have it - after all, isn't it all about learning through play!

  11. I totally agree with the above comment as a parent and talking to other parents it's nice to see the children play in the snow for a few days we don't get snow much so let's enjoy a few days with our kids and
make memories for the future :-D

  14. We've made an igloo and a snowman today. I've, sorry i mean we've, had great fun!!
People on our estate have been trying to clear some of the roads, but they are still very slippery and dangerous. My car is still abandoned on the main rd.

  16. Agreed - can't get off my estate no chance. If I am off work, I will keep the children home anyway.

  17. Yes I will be keeping my children off tommrow aswell I'm not risking it!!even if the snow melts it will stilll be slushy and icy which is more dangerous than snow at times! I am prepared to have my children off until Monday now as it's better to be safe than sorry and the children can start fresh on Monday as having a nursery and infant child it upsets and disrups them Keeping the school shut and re open on Monday would be best as all the snow from the playground and sorounding areas should be completly gone by then and the children will be able to go out to play and parents can know what's happening this week!!

  18. Lets wait and see what the morning brings and particularly what Friday brings.... I think it was well worth opening the school on Monday and Tuesday and there was an excellent turn-out.......
